About Us Bass Clef Web Design started out as one person helping another. In 1999, I helped a friend of mine get his business on the internet. He knew little about computers, but had a vision and an open mind. I designed his site and made it work for him, but since he did not know how to manage his site, it still was not very helpful. So I set out to write a manual to guide him step-by-step through each aspect of his web site. The Manual - The manual I wrote for him is the same that I write for all of my clients. It is specific to your website, browser, and computer. It shows you EXACTLY what your screen will look like as you go through the process of editing a page. It tells you what to click, and what to type in order to get the results you want. I also include a section on pictures, and will customize the site to include anything special you want to do. Then I train you, on your computer, to use the manual to edit your site. Training - My goal in providing a web page for a client is to make the client the webmaster of the site. My training does just that. It usually takes an hour or two. I have an education degree and have been teaching, in one form or another, for 13 years. Search Engine Submission - Your site will not work for you if customers cannot find you! I have software that allows me to easily submit your site to mulitple search engines at once. Some of the major ones I like to submit manually, so I know it is done right. If you wish to do your own submission, I can provide a list of engines for you to submit to.
